Advantages: Mind capturing from the beginning.

Disadvantages: Can't think of any

For me this film was highly anticipated, i went to the cinema to see it on the release date and bought it when it was released on DVD. Personally i loved the di vinci code and enjoy nothing more than a good mind challenging thriller so this film didn't let me down. Personally i preffered it to the di vinci code.

This film see's Tom Hanks return as Harvard Symbolist Robert Langdon who is out to solve the murder of a renowned physicist. His investigation takes him to the vatican during which the pope has died and before the conclave can have decided upon a successor the four cardinals have been kidnapped by an Assassin, working for the Illuminati and murders each at places which symbolise the four alters of science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Langdon has to beat time to find the cardinals before the assassin can use a weapon, stolen from the physicist, killed at the beginning, to bring down the Vatican City.

The plot see's Langdon's continuing battle with science vs religion which is one that will probably go on for years and continue to give these films longetivity.

One of my favourite films of the year, even though i don't usually particularly enjoy Tom Hank's films. Nothing better than a film that grips you from the beginning and challenges your brain!

Summary: One to watch if you enjoy Dan Brown's work.
