Advantages: I never have to watch it again
Disadvantages: I wasted 133 minutes of my life watching it
After reading Dan Browns novel the Davinci Code which I quite enjoyed and then watching the movie and thinking it was not up to much I decided to to it the other way around this time.
The movie stars Tom Hanks in his second outing as Harvard professor Robert Langdon the wonderfuly clever symbologist and is basicaly a thriller that stars the wonderful Hedron collider and is set in and around the Vatican.
The scientists in charge of the collider have been succssful in making anti matter and this is quickly stolen and used as a terrorist tool as the cannister it is contained in has a battery which will run out at midnight and destroy the Vatican.
All this and the Pope has just died and the four hopefuls to replace him are kidnapped and killed one by one at hourly intervals after being branded by supposed Illuminati(confused yet?)
Ewan Mcgregor plays Carmelengo Patrick Mc Kenna a trusted member of the Vaticans inner circle who surprisingly is also a skilled helicopter pilot aparantly he was a pilot before becoming a priest!!!(WHAT)
Vittoria Vetra is the mad scientist who is also surprisingly who was loony enough to create the anti matter to start with and is also very well up on all this Illuminati history and knows so much about the churches in Rome its head spinning, (shes just so brainy)
Basicaly I found this film totaly unbearable and unbelievable so will give the book a wide berth.
The film runs for 133 long and tedious minutes.
Predictable to the max.
I fell asleep twice and had to rewind it, it was that interesting.
Utter rubbish!
The book is probably a better bet (maybe)
Summary: Rubbish
