Disadvantages: Not one for the action seekers

As Good as it Gets is a brilliant film, it also happens to be most likely one of the best lines in a film ever...when Jack Nicholsons character tells a group of depressed people in the waiting room, 'what if this is as good as it gets?'

The oscar winning cast certainly makes this film, Greg Kinnear, Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt are a brilliant trio.

We ended up watching this as part of my Psychology class, as others were talking I sat there watching a brilliant film, one which is vastly overlook when in a list of films with Jack Nicholson.

The plot isn't spectacular, the acting is and as the film goes on the characters increase in stature and whilst an unspectacular film, it gives us all hope that we can improve in any way that we want to as Nicholsons character starts to come to one with his condition and help himself rather than expect others to help him and understand.

Is it a classic, it's not one that will be on a list of best films, it's certainly a film worth watching and keeping on the shelf for a rainy night.
