Advantages: Dr. Evils kinda funny

Disadvantages: The film suxs and you have try and explain to friends why

In the fun and amusing world of comedy there are things that are funny and thing that are about as funny as getting run over by a steam roller(okay so this is funny in the correct context(a cartoon character or bank manager to name but two.) but in this case its not.)

The first time (and indeed the second) I watch this film it was in the steam roller section with Mike Myers failing to pull off anything funny. After my friends attemted to convince me this utter rubish was indeed funny (my humour lying in films such as Empire Records and Chasing Amy, just to prove I do laugh sometimes!!) I viewed it a third time and to my horror I actually found it funny (well parts anyway don't get too carried away sheesh.)

The film (geeze you don't really wanna watch it but i guess I better tell you) is basically about a sixties secret agent (Austin Powers) being frozen and reanimated in the 90's.

In the 60's Powers is a sex symbol working his 'mojo' on every female possible and chasing the bad guys, in this case Dr Evil (also played by Myers and in my opinion alot funnier character.) On a mission Powers witnesses Dr. Evil getting frozen and so volenteers to be also frozen incase he should ever return.

And yes 20 minutes or so into the film Powers is reanimated (wow a kinda funny scene this is rare.) to rid the world of Dr. Evil. Both Powers and Evil both have trouble adjusting to the 90's but each have someone to help them out.

After 2hrs of bordom Bond jokes and father son bonding the film ends and the world is alot better place (no I haven't just ruined the ending that was my way of saying yay the farce is over.

So if you want my opinion (which lets face it you wouldn't still be reading if you didn't) don't bother, watch Waynes world or rent yourself a steam roller cos lets face it both are more amusing than this film.
