Advantages: Thought provoking, Sad, Interesting enough

Disadvantages: Needs 'cutting edge' emotion, Lacks musical theme, Farly untypical drama

This is a hearty film that although very bland is seamless enough to flow quite nicely from one scene to the next.

The Womaniser (Richard Gere) is portrayed quite cleverly with screenplay that doesn’t try to go too deeply into philosophical, emotional nor sexual aspects. It’s a love story between a young girl and much older guy that brings home the reality of care that is all too essential and easily overlooked by many 'entertainment only' style movies.

Although this film didn't 'move me to tears' it did succeed in provoking a kind of 'don't take this for granted' style thought, in a refreshing sense.

Well worth a look, particularly if you enjoy your paradoxical romantic, almost soap style afternoon dramas!

There is a fair amount lacking. A nice musical, emotional theme would help the eyes water and add much needed impact and power to the 'cutting edge' that I feel should have been more tear provoking.

I haven't felt the kind of 'moving' emotion that I mean since the elephant man really (a different kettle of fish really), but at least this movie was watchable, provoking more thought than tears.

Ladies like Richard Gere a lot, and I guess that's ample excuse to enjoy this one!
