There are few films out at the moment which are actually persuading me to go to the cinema to pay and see as many are just old plots redone or they are just silly films that shouldn't even be given a budget to make it onscreen. One film though I have heard good reviews about and that has been recommended to me by several friends is the new Jessica Alba film 'Awake'. I had recently seen the trailer but didn't really get what it was about or didn't think that the plot was enough to make a film about but after hearing good things about it this made me reconsider. I also think Jessica Alba is a good actress and chooses her parts well so I decided to pay and see this ... Read the complete review

Hayden Christiansen (Jumper) takes on the part of Clay well. There has ... Read the complete review

note: also appears on my film review website, ShaunMunro.co.uk, and Helium.com, thanks! Joby Harold's Awake, in its opening titles, explains the phenomenon of "anaesthetic awareness", whereby a patient retains consciousness of events around them whilst under general aesthetic, often whilst having painful and intrusive surgery performed. Such forms the horrific situation for young, successful hotshot Clay Beresford (Hayden Christensen), who undergoes a heart transplant, and in his consciousness, uncovers a sinister murder plot against him. A crazy premise? You couldn't be any more on the money. The first mistake that this film makes is to ... Read the complete review
