Bad Boys, one on my favourite movies of all time. The Characters: The film revolves around Miami Detectives Mike Lowrey ( Will Smith - I am Legend, Hitch) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence - Black Knight, Blue Streak). Lowrey is a single, smooth talking, stylish and cocky but charming guy: He's rich and works as a cop as he enjoys the job. Burnett on the other hand is a down to earth guy married with wife and kids. He doesn't so much care about looking good and he's certainly no charmer; unlike Mike he only works as a cop to pay the bills. Both of then however have huge hearts and sure pack a punch! I have no recollection of this film being released either in the cinema or on DVD and indeed was blissfully unaware that it existed until I went off to university, where one of my housemates was a big fan of the film. Determined to see what all the fuss was about I watched his copy of the film and was instantly hooked by it and after a couple more viewings was able to quote most of the script word for word. ** Background ** Bad Boys is an action adventure film based around the Miami Police Department and specifically the narcotics officers. Bad Boys was made and released in 1995. The follow up was Bad Boys II and the films main stars are Will Smith who plays Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence who plays Marcus Burnett. A large stash of heroin has somehow been taken from the police headquarters. Captain Howard (Joe Pantoliano) gives the boys 4 days to find the stash before Internal Affairs threaten to take over. To add to the chase of the missing heroin, they get a crazed call from Julie (Tea Leoni) who has witnessed the murder of one of Mike Lowrey's good friends.
