Bad Boys, one on my favourite movies of all time. The Characters: The film revolves around Miami Detectives Mike Lowrey ( Will Smith - I am Legend, Hitch) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence - Black Knight, Blue Streak). Lowrey is a single, smooth talking, stylish and cocky but charming guy: He's rich and works as a cop as he enjoys the job. Burnett on the other hand is a down to earth guy married with wife and kids. He doesn't so much care about looking good and he's certainly no charmer; unlike Mike he only works as a cop to pay the bills. Both of then however have huge hearts and sure pack a punch! I have no recollection of this film being released either in the cinema or on DVD and indeed was blissfully unaware that it existed until I went off to university, where one of my housemates was a big fan of the film. Determined to see what all the fuss was about I watched his copy of the film and was instantly hooked by it and after a couple more viewings was able to quote most of the script word for word. ** Background ** Bad Boys is an action adventure film based around the Miami Police Department and specifically the narcotics officers.
