Advantages: Full of action and great comedy

This is a great action packed comedy starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, they work so well together. There are lots of cop films but this one has a great story line and great comedy.

The Plot

$100million of seized heroin is stolen from the police lockup, so it’s down to detectives Lowrey (Will Smith) and Burnett (Martin Lawrence) to catch the thief’s. They are Miami’s most mismatched cops you will ever see, Lowrey is your cool, handsome cop and Burnett is your family man cop (no risks). They have to solve the case before their department is closed down by the FBI. Julie (Tea Leoni) goes to a party with her friend who ends up getting killed, which means the bad guys are after Julie because she was a witness.

Julie is the only lead to the case, but will only speak to Lowrey because he isn’t around Burnett pretends to be Lowrey and has to try to be cool and slick like his partner. He takes Julie into to a safe house which turns out to be Lowrey apartment. From then onwards it’s a race against time as the dodge the mob and try to keep up the charade.

This film is full of great chases and has lots of great laughs. My favourite scene is when the two partners go to a murder scene and have to search for clues, and Burnett gets very sickly around dead people and he heaves a lot and it’s such a great scene it will have you in stitches.

This film is an 18 and contains a lot of bad language but is so funny.

Its running time is 114 mins.

This film has a great soundtrack, and I definitely recommend it.
