f you told me that you had seen a brilliant action film starring Chris Rock as a secret agent and Anthony Hopkins as his boss, I would have laughed I your face! But this turned out to be one of the best films I have ever seen. The plot The plot centres around the death of Kevin Pope, an undercover CIA agent trying to buy a deadly explosive device on the black market. Their only hope is the identical twin brother that didn't even know that Kevin ever existed. They say they don't make 'em like they used to, but High Concept Overlord Jerry Bruckheimer does. Here he comes then, regular as fries, with another vac-pack of identikit summer junk. If Bruckheimer movies were burgers, they'd be Big Macs: formula-made, low on nourishment, ideal for hangovers and easy to forget you ever had one an hour after consumption. Granted, we need junk to remind us of the finer things in life, but what if you order a Big Mac and get a turkey leg instead? Actually, a quick amendment. Bruckheimer "remakes" them like he used to. So, just as "Coyote Ugly" is really "Flashdance" and "Days Of Thunder" ... Read the complete review

Sometimes its damning enough to simply state that a new movie is a 'distinctly average' example of its genre, especially when that particular genre is so overflowing with other better movies or other distinctly average movies. Bad Company, directed by Joel Schumacher, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and starring Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins, fits into the brainless summer action movie genre and is, at best, a distinctly average example of it. Those 4 names combined ought to give you an idea of the potential mess here.
