 ... "the Bruce Lee story" told using ping pong and an annoying protagonist who is the complete opposite of Lee. For those who havnt seen any of the mentioed films I would definately consider seeing them to get the most of this movie. Its quite a simple plot involving a shamed ping pong star who must get back to winning ways to help the FBI get evidance on a Triad member who holds a ping pong tournament once a year. I wasnt really sure what to expect when I rented this DVD. I knew it was a comedy about a ping pong player but was unsure what direction it would take. I did not expect a homage to the late great Bruce Lee. You think a big Lee fan would have realised from the title (Fist of Fury) but alas no I did not. Balls of Fury is one of those marmite films... you will either love it or hate it. It is very similar to the Will Ferrell/Jon Heder ice skating comedy 'Blades of Glory' in that it is very very stupid, involves a former sports champion who has lost his way and a journey to regain his honour and name... well kind of!
