Best selling crime/erotica author Catherine Trammel (Sharon Stone), originally from San Francisco but now living in London is interrogated by the police after a tragic accident leaves her car in the bottom of the sea with her male passenger dead. Trammel wants to prove her innocence but as a previous murder suspect this isn't going to be easy. She is forced to be evaluated by experienced psychiatrist Dr Michael Glass (David Morrissey) however it's clear right from the start that he's not going to have an easy task on his hands. With Trammels blatant sex appeal and manipulative ways it's not long before he finds himself enamoured by her however when people ... Read the complete review

The first Basic Instinct was a sexy, smart, and slick thriller that was released in 1992, making a star out of gorgeous lead Sharon Stone. Paired with brilliant performer Michael Douglas, they made one of the best erotic thrillers of all time, although sadly the genre has fallen into disrepute in recent years, and the hugely awaited sequel, Basic Instinct 2, just couldn't cut it in the modern cinematic world. The film has Stone returning as Catherine Tramell, and when she's hauled in by the police on a possible drug charge, she's forced to go under psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Michael Glass (David Morrissey), who, much like Michael Douglas's poilice officer ... **This is a film only review* Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction is unsurprisingly the sequel to Basic Instinct, the notorious Paul Verhoven thriller from 1992. In the original, best selling erotic crime novelist Catherine Trammell was being investigated for the murder of one of her many partners which may or may not have been signposted by one her novels. The policeman investigating her becomes destructively drawn to her and the two of them begin an explicit, intense and possibly deadly affair. This time (and with only Stone from the original film returning), Trammell is now living in London and once again being investigate in connection with the ... Read the complete review

If you still insist on going ahead please take in the right spirit , do leave your comment The title should say it all, when you are talking about Basic Instinct it has to be Sex, Sleaze and of course the "F*** of the Century…". The other day, I and Sharon where sharing a table in one of the hottest Hollywood hangout place and we were not discussing about the movie Basic Instinct, we were discussing the actual basic instinct. This film is just...i don't know what it is. It's...confusing...yes, confusing...normally i'd enjoy a cleverly written film with twists and turns and unexpected things but the only unexpected thing i encountered was the lack of an ending...and no, i wasn't asleep, i was very much awake... I havn't seen the original Basic Instinct and i don't know if this one is made easier to understand if you have but i genuingly just think Basic Instinct 2 is a muddle. It really is, i can't even explain what goes on as i don't know. No other film as ever done this to me, i mean, i even got Donnie Darko! I can guarantee if that confused you this is going to kill you at least ... Read the complete review
