Batman Begins Batman - A Little History Batman is a dark superhero, created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in the 1930s, and published by DC Comics. He is the alter-ego of Bruce Wayne, millionaire orphaned at a young age. Following the TV series of the superhero's adventures with his sidekick Robin in the 1960s, in 1989 Tim Burton directed Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson in 'Batman', a very dark film which carried a '12' rating (first to have this rating) which was ater changed to a '15' and was both critically and commercially acclaimed. Then followed another 3 films centred around Batman, but each dwindled in quality, until the Dark Knight was ... Read the complete review

After Warner Bros series of Batman films descended into a mockery with the ludicrous Batman And Robin, the series came to an abrupt halt. It would be eight years before Batman would make it back onto the big screen. However, rather than making it a direct sequel to the already existing films, they decided to make it a prequel of sorts. The original four Batman films eventually tampered with the mythology so much, that by the time George Clooney hammed it up in the batsuit, it had descended into chaos reminiscent of the camped up tv series of the 60s. Batman Begins, an excellent reboot/rethink of the franchise, answers these questions and establishes itself in the Premier League of comic-book films. The film opens with a young Bruce Wayne falling through an old well on the grounds of his family's estate and thus discovering the ... Read the complete review

After the complete screw up with Batman and Robin and the fundamental failure of the George Clooney as Batman at the box office, some serious rethinking had to be done. Not only did the fans of the Caped Crusader turn there backs on the film but also kept away in there droves making the film itself one of the biggest disasters since Raise the Titanic or Ishtar. Warner Brothers were somewhat understandably concerned, but also very reluctant to go ahead with a fifth Batman film and decided to can the franchise for the time being, this was quite a sensible decision as this allowed new fans to become accustomed to the more traditional medium of Batman, the ... First serious film about Batman. Several actors have tried the batman role Christian Bale is Batman in this film and dare I say he is very good. The Batman stories begins with the death of his parents at the hands of a petty crook. This disturbs Bat so much that he leaves the town travelling the world for answers. In China he meets a strange cult. They make a warrior out of him. When Batman returns to Gotham City he can't believe his eyes. people are living in fear of thugs. Batman has urgent appointment with the killer of his parents much to the dismay of his long standing friend Rachel Dawes. She need not worry because someone else ... Read the complete review
