Advantages: A Compelling, Modern Entertaining Movie

Disadvantages: No Penguin :(

(Just for the record, last year I chose to study this film for a piece of coursework i was doing at the time in AS Film Studies and got an A, so i know my stuff)

From Director Christopher Nolan comes Batman Begins which goes back to the orgins of Batman and shows how the legend began. Below is a short summary of the film without giving away anything and making the film less enjoyable.

Basically, the film refletcs back on Bruce Wayne (Batman) as a child and shows how his fear, and eventua admiration of bats came about. This is done cleverly with flashbacks to Bruce's childhood throughout the film. Bruce leaves Gotham City but does not know what he is doing in his somewhat empty and meaningless life. From here the film follows Bruce, his training, how he got his 'batman equipment', and how is cave or 'hideout' was produced. Obviously there are 'bad guys' in the film, where would a Batman film be without them, but sadly no Penguin. Instead we have 'The Scarecrow' and 'Crane' who both posess attributes that make them true villains. I shall not let on to what these traits are but they are...scary. As you can probably guess, it is Batman's aim to stop these criminals and put them to justice, but will he this time around? I'll leave you guessing.

Well, I genuingly loved this film and have watched it numerous times, even before i chose to study it. The cinematography in it is brilliant and so is the acting, special effects, and storyline (which is very, very original i must say. Some parts of this film are truely unexpected and it's a joy to watch). The fight scenes in the film are very entertaining and i found the film 'clever' throughout. I cannot really define what i mean when i say it is a 'clever' film but i'm sure you will know what i mean when you watch it.

I would recommend this film wholeheartedly, infact, i would go the shop and buy it for you if i could. It is that good and thoroughly enjoyable. If you are planning on purchasing a DVD then i urge you to buy this one as i guarantee you will not be disappointed. It has something for everyone.

So there you have it. A review of Batman Begins without giving anything anyway. Because let's face it, what would be the point in writing a review to try and make you buy a film, when you give away the story? You may as well just read the review and save youself some money.

I'm going to watch Batman Begins.

I think you should do the same.

Summary: One of the films of the year 2005, entertaining throughout with a compelling storyline

Not giving the plot away is very commendable. Not actually telling us why we should watch the film is less so.

srry for the low rate but there seemed to be a lot of talk about you writing the review and telling people to buy it and not much about the actual film. A spell checker may also help.

If I give you my address, will you buy me this film on DVD and send it to me?
