Advantages: Jim Carrey's good as Riddler

Disadvantages: Not as good as first two movies

The third in the Batman Franchise sees a change of pace and a change of director. Tim Burton has been pushed upstairs to producer and Joel Schumacher has been brought in to direct. The change is obvious, as whereas the first two movies were dark and gothic fantasies, the third feels like a disco in comparison. Kilmer makes a good Batman but a poor Bruce Wayne, and Tommy Lee Jones is a pointless Two Face, but what is worth watching is Jim Carrey's performance of The Riddler which has a lot of comic energy. The effects are more comic book than ever and the music isn't by Danny Elfman, which is a shame, but overall, Batman Forvever is weaker than the first two but still a good night's enjoyment.
