... was a massive twist... And so the question remains, do the writers deal with them appropriately? You bet they do. The four of the Final Five are absolutely central for the gripping final episodes that come to us very quickly. (since this season is really only half a season due to the bloody annoying writers' strike) The tension is simply unbearable. Kara Thrace, returning from her apparent death, claims that she knows the way to Earth, but some people (quite naturally) don't trust her. Eventually, she is allowed to...more

Premium Review Battlestar Galactica: Season 4 (DVD): Come in Final Cylon Number Five.....your time is (very) near ... (604 words)

Battlestar Galactica's final season was split into two halves in part because of the writer's strike in the States but also because a mid-season break has become something of the norm for audiences in America. The Soprano's last series was also split in this way and so this DVD set comprises only the first ten episodes of BSG season 4 with the addition of the stand-alone movie that was BSG:Razor, also available seperately. At the end of season 3, and forgive me if you have not seen it but it is difficult to talk about this season without a few spoilers though I will try to keep them to the absolute minimum, Kara Thrace "Starbuck" had returned from ...  Read the complete review

Twelve Cylon models... Seven are known... (1. John Cavil, 2. Leoben Conroy, 3. D'Anna Biers, 4. Simon, 5. Aaron Doral, 6. Number Six, (ie. the hot blonde in red) 8. Sharon Valerii/Athena Boomer, I know there's a Number 7 missing but this will be explained in the final season... like I've said before, NOTHING is left unexplained) Four live in secret... (Colonel Tigh, Chief Tyrol, Tory Foster, Samuel T. Anders) ONE will be revealed... (Can you guess) But seriously, how shocked were you when you figured out who the four of the Final Five were? I certainly was... The most human-looking characters in the entire shows turning out to be Cylons. It was a massive twist... And so ...  Read the complete review

I'll warn you in advance - this review may contain some spoilers (I'll try not to give anything much away though!), If you really don't want to know anything - stop reading here!! I am a massive Battlestar Galactica fan. When I was a small child I remember watching the original incarnation of this show. When they announced the new version a few years back I immediately got excited, and I've been hooked ever since. I bought the DVD of season 4 from Tesco on saturday for £20.99, as well as the first 10 episodes of the season (the rest have been held back for a "season 4.5"), it also includes the feature length BSG movie ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cylons who want to be humans (161 words)

Rating:

From the first season I was hooked to Battlestar Gallactica (BSG), I used to remember it as a child, and I was scared of the silly aliens and even that cuddly robot teddy bear thing, if you remember that. This remake is in a totally different league and they got rid of all the naff and silly elements keeping it sleeker. The bit that I do like about the remake is the spiritual element, such as Baltar and his religious teachings. The cylons are even more complicated, in terms of what they want, in which the different models have different desires and personalities. In which the cylon fleet splits into two, those who join the humans and those who stay as ...  Read the complete review

It is the final season of Battlestar Galactica, it is not a fulls season yet, but only contain the first ten episodes, the other ten episodes will be released later some day. The story of BG start when human race of 12 colonies has been raced by a huam-robot called cylon. Cylon is created by human and then betrayed. Only 50,000 people survied in several ships with a battlestar Galactica. They started their journey of escape, ans also, the journey to find their new home - Earth - the once abandoned home by their ancestors. Galactica is a quite complex TV program. It has dicuss many quiestions: human, ethics, philosophy, politics and war. Director just ...  Read the complete review
