Beaches is a 1988 movie adapted from the novel by Mary Agnes Donoghue with the same name. The film has become a world wide 'chick flick' and is a story about two friends. The caast involves: Bette Midler, Barbara Hershey and is directed by Garry Marshall. The soundtrack to this film, is the famous song by Bette Midler 'Th wind beneath my wings.'

Basic Plot:
The film starts with singer CC Bloom (Bette Midler) who recieves a note in the middle of rehersals about her friend. You dont know what the news is at this moment in time but you can tell that it is something as she rushes of stage and take her car to rush to be by her friend Hillarys, side.
On the drive you see how the two ladies met as young girls, staying in touch with each other with writting letters, growing up with CC wanting to be a singer and Hillary wanting to be a lawyer. Soon living together and soon growing apart as well.
You go through the film looking at the lives of these two women and watching there relationship grow stronger and stronger.

My oppinion:
I absolutely love this film and have loved from a young age. Everytime i watch the film it makes me cry, its very emotional. The charcters you get so involved with and want to know what happens to them, and the actors play them great!

Summary: i lovely film to watch
