Bear In The Big Blue House is the first programme which really grabbed my daughter's attention. It is made by Jim Henson, the man who brought us The Muppets. You can find it every weekday morning on Channel 5 at 8am, or throughout the day, everyday on Playhouse Disney (616 on Sky Digital).

Yes, you guessed it, there is a bear, and right again, he lives in a Big Blue House!!!

The programme is aimed at pre school children, and each programme has a theme, such as potty training, sharing things, cleaning the house or birthdays.

In all of the programmes Bear is accompanied by his friends Pip, Pop, Ojo, Tutter and Treelo. They all sing songs which are easy to learn and very catchy, especially the theme tune "Welcome to The Blue House".

Bear also sings a song to find Shadow who is a shadow who can talk, sing and tell stories.

At the end of every show, Bear recaps that day and the events in the house with Luna, the moon, and they sing The Goodbye Song together.

You can buy 3 videos in this country, although looking on the internet it seems the programme is very popular in America and you can buy all sorts of linked products over there.

"Dance Fever" is the video I would recommend, and if you buy it for £7.99 at Asda you get a bonus episode.

A good learning programme while still being fun.
