I just finished watching this on Sky Anytime. Certainly not my normal choice of film. I like to watch Horror films. So how did I get to watch a Kids Movie? Well I had watched everything in my Sky Planner, and caught sight of this and just felt like watchin. This review is about the film, as I have not watched it on DVD format.
The film is in Cartoon/Animated format and the star of the show is Barry B Benson. He is a hardworking Bee, and lives to work to support the Hive. He's just left school and keen to set out making his money in the Honey business, but he decides to aim a little higher. He decides he wants to try and work collecting Precious Nectar, but this is very dangerous. He is working hard when danger strikes and he gets stuck in a bad rainstorm. He is saved by a human called Vanessa (kind Human, most of us run away from Bees or try and squash them!)
Barry decides to talk to Vanessa, which is unheard of Bees talking to humans and they become friends. Then it gets a little silly, as together Barry and Vanessa try to fight laws through American courts to keep Honey for Bees.
There is a few kid friendly jokes in here, a little cartoon drama, and the magic that is animals and humans getting along as friends, and the it takes all to make a world, we're all important and special here message that comes across.
I wouldn't watch this again, as once was enough. There was so much hype when this film first came out in 2008, but I don't know why, as to me, and to my nephew, it really wasn't that special.
