Advantages: Very good story line and some brilliant acting.

Disadvantages: Quite a short film.

Bend it like Beckham is a film that really took me by supprise in a positive way and was muc better than I thought it would be. Bend it like Beckham is a British film that was originally released in 2002. It is a British Film and stars Keira Knightly and Parminder Nagra who really are excellent in the film and make it what it is. The title of the film is of course based on the famous football player David Beckham who is renound for his abilities with the ball. I would really recommend this as a family film and also for any football fans because it is overall very well produced.

The film is about a football obssessed girl, Jess who is just 18 and has everything going for her and really is a very good football player. It is her dream to play for a top women's football team especially in America where it is taken more seriously. But her obstacle is her parents who just want her to live an ordinary life and be married and then settle down. However, Jess doesn't listen and makes friends with another similar girl Jules. There is tension in their friendship however when both of them fancy their football coach Joe. It really is an excellent story line and is great fun to watch throghout and moves progressivly very well.

I really liked the overal quality of the film although at 108 minutes I found it to be quite a short film. The special features on the DVD are very good such as the ten deleted scenes and Hot, Hot, Hot music video's amongst many others! I hope this was useful and thank you very much for reading.
