~~~Why I watched Benidorm~~~ Its only in the last week or so that I have watched Benidorm. Its not because I had not heard of it, in fact I had seen the advertisements on tv but to be totally honest I had not tried to watch it because Im not normally a huge fan of Johnny Vegas (I really should be because he is from the same town as me!). My parents bough the box set a couple of weeks ago and they recommended I give them a go. ~~~Series 1: Benidorm is as you would expect set in the sunny Spanish resort of Benidorm. The series center's around a number of holidaymakers visiting a fictional all-inclusive resort called ... Read the complete review
I had heard of the ITV television programme Benidorm before but hadn't watched it , until recently when the third series was showing , and my mum who is a fan of the show and has watched every episode told me how good it was. So , one friday evening a few weeks back , I decided to put ITV1 On and see what all the fuss was about! After only watching that particular episode for a couple of minutes ; I was really enjoying it , and found myself laughing a lot! I couldn't believe why I had refused to watch it before ; it was just my kind of programme! Since the series ended a couple of weeks back , I decided I wanted to see the first two series too. So I bought ... Read the complete review
Benidorm is an ITV1 comedy series written by Derren Little of The Catherine Tate Show. The show is arguably one of the funniest comedies on British TV at the moment, unfortunately though Benidorm is very underrated and sadly it hasn't achieved that shows like Gavin & Stacey and Peep Show have. Benidorm first hit our TV screens in February 2007 and was very quickly renewed for a second series which aired in in February 2008. The first series was nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Sitcom category but sadly didn't win. It did however claim a National Television Award in 2008 for Best Comedy, something which was very well deserved. Although series 2 finished last year a ... Read the complete review
Benidorm is hillarious, crass but funny - Benidorm is undoubtedly one of the most under-rated British comedies in recent years. Written by Derek Litten (The Catherine Tate Show) it manages to capture the British package holiday destination perfectly. Anyone who has been to such destinations will almost definitely relate to a fair number of the characters who despite their oddities, you will almost definitely warm to. The actors pull off their parts excellently and the families, really seem like families. So who do we have character wise? Well there is Geoff Maltby (Johnny Vegas) and his mum, Geoff has been Lancashire Pub Quiz Champion since 1994 ... Read the complete review
