Black Friday is a movie about the serial bomb blasts that took place in Bombay in 1993, this happened after the demolition of Babri Masjid in December 1992. This blast was very shocking as it took place at the important jucntions of Bombay and at the peak time, taking life of many innocent people & injuring thousands of people. this movie is based on the novel written by Hussain Zaidi. Its name Black Friday because this incident took place on Friday March 12, 1993.

Story :

Well this movie is based on the bomb blast of bombay, it tells you about the consipiracy & Conspirators who carried it out. It starts with showing a small time thug when arrested by Bombay Police before the blast, tell them about the conspiracy being taken place, But police ignores this as saying who dares to do that and finally blast happens. Pavan Malhotra( Tiger Memon) is the master mind who carries out the blast in Bombay with the people who works for him. Tiger Works for Dawood Ibrahim. Blast takes place at this places Bombay Stock Exchange, Worli Passport Office, Air India building, Century Bazaar Shopping centre, Zaveri Bazaar, Plaza Cinema, Serock Hotel, Cetaur Hotel etc...Kay Kay the inspector is addl commisioner of police who with his team has this case and when getting some clues & abd ivestigates the clues showing who is behind this attack and how did they worked out on it.

My Opinion :

Anurag Kashyap the director of this movie gets full marks from me to show this sensible subject in this manner. He has taken real life name of the accused in the movie to his charachters which makes it more real.

The way some scene shown in the movie are very good,
like the interrogation of Asgar who is the manager in Tigers company.
The training that these people got in Pakistan is also shown brilliantly.
The exact execution of the plan how these people carried out these work and how they studied their target before carrying out this task.

It takes courage to make such kind of movie because this is based on religious matter and any wrong message could again lead to some mis understanding against anyone. This movie earlier was not getting a released in India, due to the trial going on the actual accused and the goverment was worried if this could act as spark & give out the wrong message. Although this movie has won many International Awards.

Pavan Malhotra Doing the role of Tiger Memon has done a splendid job, this is one of the best performance i can rate. He has inacted the gangster in a very good way, you really start feeling he is really a gangster in real life.

Kay Kay as addl commisoner has also done a good job, the way he express himself even when he does'nt say anything is just brilliant to watch.

Vijay who plays Dawood Ibrahim in the movie has a very short role, but the significance about this role is the Physical Resemblance to the real dawood Ibrahim.

Other charachters have done justice to their part. All the characters have done spledid job.

Another aspect of this movie is the background score, it is simply superb. The track 'Bande' is really very good. the meaning of this song just so right for me.

Blask Friday on the whole is a master piece from Indian Cinema, coz it shows you the true story behind the bomb blast. Its one movie you should not miss. It leaves a goos impact about how the story has been naratted. But only one thing to be noted is that dont blame specifically anyone after watching this movie.
