Advantages: Superb everything

Disadvantages: predictable

It took a while to arrive, but finally after 4 years of waiting, Blade 2 smashes it's way onto the big screens in a superb style. The original Blade in my eyes was a classic - flesh ripping fight scenes, an enthralling storyline, appropriate acting all wrapped up with a fantastic soundtrack. Blade 2 takes all that, spices everything up 10 fold, brings in state of the art special effects and truly makes for a stunning piece of cinematography.

Although there are a few discrepencies with the sequel, there is no questioning that it is one of, if not, the best action film of the Millennium so far - Snipes is yet again flawless and fits the role of Blade perfectly & Kris Kristofferson makes an unexpected return as the father-like Whistler, again superb acting.

Set in Russia, you know things are gonna get hairy - you're quickly informed of the new "Reaper" breed of vampire, from the first few scenes - worse than vampires - nice tongues, and Blade's new enemy...
