Advantages: Its at the beach
Disadvantages: The Rest
'Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water - you cant get to it' was the tagline for this film, but it should really of been 'Just when you thought you'd found a video to rent - you hadnt'. Basically something is attacking people one by one on the beach. Some of them are mutilated, but most of them are sucked into the sand, disappearing without a trace. Meanwhile, Harry Caulder (David Huffman) and Catherine Hutton (Mariana Hill) are old friends, reunited over the death of her mother on the beach, and searching for clues in the abandoned buildings where they used to play when they were young. Just what are those really crap looking monsters that like to pop up out of the sand. Who cares? For being called Blood Beach there is not a lot of blood in this film, there are a small amount of deaths with a little blood, but not enough people die. The acting is very third rate and the effects were made on a budget of amount £5. Now I love horror films as much as anyone else but if these are the types of films that will be made then Horror will never be taken seriously by anyone other than the fans.

- 01/08/02 Got to agree with you on the 'not enough people die' comment, and it would have been great if they'd have started with the writers, directors and producers.
