A review of just the film - a region 1 DVD can be imported for about £5 from amazon. Made in 1965, this is a pretty astonishing low-budget Italian horror. Cheap and not too well made, it's one of the kinkiest films I've ever seen. In 1648 a man called The Crimson Executioner (this seems to be his actual name) is put to death for, well, executing people. Fast-forwarding to the present day, a group of photographers and pretty models break into the Executioner's castle, thinking it's unoccupied. But a reclusive actor and his two very muscular bodyguards live there, and soon the interlopers start to die... seemingly killed by the Crimson Executioner ... Read the complete review
