Bob The Builder - Knights Of Can-A-Lot (DVD) ... Morrissey, Kate Harbour ... / DVD released 17 March, 2003 at Hit Entertainment / Features of the DVD: PAL / The Knights of Can-a-Lot is a 45-minute never-televised adventure starring Bob the Builder, otherwise dubbed "Sir Fix-a-Lot". When Bob's dad, also called Bob, arrives for an unexpected visit, a simple case of mistaken identity lands Bob junior and his crew a big job restoring a crumbling castle--under the leadership of Bob senior. Problem is, Bob's dad isn't quite up to the role of foreman, nor are Bob and Wendy comfortable taking orders from him. Naturally, the construction crew steps up to the challenge, assuming names like "Sir Roll-a-Lot" and "Lady Dump-a-Lot" and learning all about medieval castles and legends as they work. When Bob and his Dad get locked in the dungeon, they have a heart-to-heart discussion that reveals the importance of honesty and teamwork. After the restoration is complete, Bob's mum joins her family, the construction crew and the historical society for a celebratory medieval pageant. This Bob the Builder episode is rich in history and construction fun. --Tami Horiuchi

Premium Review Bob The Builder - Knights Of Can-A-Lot (DVD): Yes, we can-a-lot!! (283 words)

I can always be sure that A Bob the Builder feature-length DVD will provide entertainment for my little 4 year old boy, and this was no exception. Local Heritage need a lot of work done on their old castle, and Bob, armed with his troupe of machines and woth his dad tagging along, hurries off to the job to say 'Yes, we can!' But his dad soon takes charge and Bob starts to feel like he's lost control. The machines take on different identities after hearing stories of the Knights of Camelot, and Spud goes looking for a suit of armour (and trouble of course!). Richard Briers, Brenda Blethyn and June Whitfield provide some famous voices. Also on ...  Read the complete review

~~~Background~~~ In 1999, HIT Entertainment released a TV series for children done in 3D animation called Bob the Builder. Bob lives in Bobsville, and is the only builder in the area, so everyone always calls Bob if they need any professional building work done, no matter how small. No one seems to do any DIY, so he is kept VERY busy. Luckily, he has Wendy, a very capable assistant, who answers the phones, makes all the job arrangements, and even is able to muck in and do some building work so that Bob gets done in time. Even with Wendy, this would not be possible without his trusty machines, Lofty the crane, Dizzy the cement mixer, Scoop the digger, Roley the ...  Read the complete review
~~ Introduction ~~ Ok – those of you who have previously read any of my reviews will know that my son is an avid Bob the Builder fan. It was only going to be a matter of time before he wanted to watch another one of these DVD’s – and on the weekend we reached that time. He picked ‘The Knights of Can-A-Lot.’ ~~ General Information ~~ The Knights of Can-A-Lot was released in 2003 by HIT Entertainment. It is rated as a ‘U’, which means that it is suitable for everyone, and has a running time of 55 minutes. We bought this for Gareth quite a while back and paid £7.99 for it. I’ve had a look on the internet and found that it is now ...  Read the complete review
This review is of my sons most watched Bob the builder DVD. This DVD is a feature length DVD lasting fifty five minutes and is classified U Although this seems a long-time for a little one to sit still my son mostly does but will play a little swell while it is on which suits me. The DVD was realised in 2003 and therefore can but priced up pretty cheaply but remains current. I purchased mine from Morrison's on: it was £2.99 could be bought with another DVD for £5. Who is Bob the builder? Bob the builder was made famous through the TV series and his voice is that of the famous actor Neil Morrissey. He has a workforce of ...  Read the complete review
Together with their team of machines - Scoop the digger, Lofty the crane, Dizzy the cement mixer, Muck the truck and Roley the steam roller - Bob and his "business partner" Wendy undertake to fix and build all manner of things in each episode of this colourful animated show. Characters This DVD was the second Bob The Builder full-length animation, produced in 2003 and never shown on TV.
