For those who have watched this movie, or those who have heard of it, Borat is known as a fictional character. The person behind it, is Baron Sasha Cohen, who we remember for his Ali G show.

First of all about the movie in itself, what you are likely to see if you watch it. The plot is simple, and in giving you the gist of it, I am not taking away none of the fun you are supposed to have watching the movie.

Here is the plot. Borat goes to USA for a documentary, he falls in love with Pamela Anderson, gives up his initial objective, and drives to meet Pamela in California. He will meet incredible characters on the road, and the movie is a documentary, or if you want a selection of what was shot with these people.

Because of the huge amount of ignorance and also bigotry, but also because Borat plays trick on people, there are some very funny scenes.

However, behind the scenes the movie has drawn a large amount of controversy. First of all, the local people who are meant to be the local folks in the village where Borat lives are gypsies in a village in Romania, and were given literally 3-4 Pounds to take animals n their houses!

Few of the characters who Borat met along the road are also suing Borat because basically what happened is that all these people had been told that Borat was running a documentary, and they signed papers which allowed the video to be released, and then they realized they would become celebrities and not for the right reasons!

If you want to have some fun, watch the movie, but there is a big question which you may ask, relating to whether it is correct or not to deceive people in this way, even if many of them are bigots, although others, like the gipsies in the village, are not necessarily to blame for their ignorance.
