Advantages: very funy,Cohen plays the character very well

Disadvantages: can be offensive to some

This is a film only review on the Borat film. This is the second movie which has come out with one of the characters created and performed by Sacha Baron Cohen. After Ali G and before Bruno we have Borat-a television presenter from Kazakhstan. It is a hilarious film but if you are easily offended it may not be totally recommended.

The film stars Borat Sagdiyev( Sach Baron Cohen) who is a TV reporter of a popular show in Kazakhstan and is Kazakhstan's sixth most famous man and a leading journalist. He is selected by his Government to travel to the United States of America and report on the country's society and culture. Borat upon arrival decides to take a course in New York City to understand American humor. While watching Baywatch on TV, Borat discovers how beautiful their women are in the form of C. J. Parker, who was played by actress Pamela Anderson who hails from Malibu, California. He decides to go on a cross-country road trip to California in an attempt to make her his wife and take her back to his country. On his journey Borat and his producer Azamat Bagatov (Ken Davitian) discover a country full of strange and wonderful Americans. They meet a wide range of people with quite hysterical outcomes.

Borat is a hilarious movie which has you laughing out loud on quite a few occasions. If satire is not your cup of tea then this movie isn't for you but if you can sit back, relax and really take in whats going on and realise that Cohen isn't Borat (Cohen comes from a strict Jewish background) then you will be able to enjoy this movie and it's bizarre one-liners and graphic jokes.

He meets a wide range of people and no one is safe: Borat takes on Jews, blacks, gays, feminists, middle-Americans, religious fanatics, frat boys. He does all this with his sense of humour, which this movie shows most Americans seem to lack. Overall it is an enjoyable and funny movie which will have you laughing out loud.
