Directed by Larry Charles who also directed Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, BORAT is a comedy movie with a difference.

Sacha Baron Cohen plays Borat a television reporter from Kazhahkstan. When offered the chance to make a documentary in Amerca to promote his country Borat jumps at the chance. Taking his friend and producer Azamat played by Ken Davitian along for the ride the comedy really starts here.
Borat interviews real Americans on very touchy subjects with all sorts of reactions from laughter to pure anger. Along the way he decides to find love and is determined to find Pamela Anderson and make her his wife. After strugglng to make the documentary, falling out with Azamat and finding it near impossible to find Pamela Anderson can Borat suceed.

The beauty of this movie is that it is a documentary with a plot. While Borat is a character he is meeting real people that brings a uniqueness to the movie. The action goes along at a good pace to.

Depending on your comedy taste this will either make you love or cry. Some cringe worthy moments include Borat destroying everything in an antiques shop, wrestling Azamat naked around a hotel and singing the Kazakh national anthem in front of some angry Americans. While all these moments are funny you do feel slightly guilty for laughing.

I found Borat's voice to be hillarious. His accent is great and people seem to warm to him because they know his English isn't great. His ayings like 'it's nice' are brilliant. The scenes where people take to him I found more enjoyable. The movie looked bad for Americans though as their country at times comes across as very racist.

I felt he ending was slightly rushed although it was still quite funny.

Lasting over 90 minutes with a 15 viewing certificate and avaliable from AMAZON at £4.78 you will love this if you're not easily offended.
