Advantages: right story wrong person talking about it so no advantage
Disadvantages: Moore is a liar
On Tuesday April April 20th 1999 two students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold from Jefferson County, Colorado massacred students at Columbine High School.
Famous lefty Michael Moore made a documentary in 2002 to find the root causes of gun violence in USA. He talked couple of dudes who attended that school and went on to create South Park. He talked to Charlton Heston who looked confused due to illness and he doctored footage of Heston to prove his point. He took survivor of the shooting to supermarket which sold bullets and he went to a bank which gave a gun for opening a bank account. He went to Canada where gun crime is not heard of and put out theories on why America is so violent.
On the first instance anyone would think that Moore hates guns and what they do. Watch the programme couple of times and you will realise that Moore is a liar and he lies to get his message across.
In the main though the message is loud and clear that there is something wrong with American society. Failure is not accepted by young people. The killings of students and staff at Virginia Tech and another shooting where a man shot his manager for bad performance appraisal shows that Moore is on the right track when he made this film.
The main problem with Moore is that when he thinks he is right he will confuse facts with fiction to sell his story and he also uses this tragedy to make money.
Hollywood gave him an Oscar but he is exploiting the massacare.
Summary: Moore is a liar

- 09/05/07 You mention Moore's lies...so where/what are they in this film that cause you to give it a bad review? |
|
- 09/05/07 Most gun deaths in the US are drugs related in black and Hispanic communities, the issue only in the news when white middle class kids shoot up schools. This film was not interested in that. |
