Advantages: It's funny and gory, A great way to spend an hour and a half

Disadvantages: Not for the faint hearted

When I first saw this film I watched about half of the film and wasn't really paying attention so I turned it off. I then watched it again and discovered the mistake I had made by shunning this film intially. This film is one of the best horror/comedy films there is and also one of the best Peter Jackson films there is as well.
This film is about Lionel, who's best friend is his mother. One day he goes to the zoo with the local shop keeper, Pakita. His mother follows him and gets bitten by a rat monkey. The next day her skin is falling off, and she dies, but rises again to kill a nurse. She is then buried and kills a priest and a vandal. Lionel keeps them in his cellar and feeds them tranqualisers. But when his uncle has a party they escape and convert more into zombies.
It has everything you would want in a zombie movie, loads of blood and guts, killer intestines and a Rat Monkey. The gore is quite extreme but is shown in a light hearted way so it isn't really offensive. This film is full to the brim with black comedy and I would recommend it to anyone. Everyone I have showed this film too or anyone who has seen it love it too. Watch Braindead now!
