As I am in the process of planning a wedding the natural thing for me and my friends to do was to splurge on numerous wedding related DVDs and have a wedding bonanza DVD night, which we did and this film did not disappoint.

Not for the anti-chick-click brigade this film oozes cheese and girlyness but if you like films in this genre then I would totally recommend this.

Emma and Liv and childhood friends. Their obsession with weddings started in the Plaza in June when they saw a bride getting married. Since that day their dream has been to have a June wedding at the Plaza. Both are in long term relationships and the story really begins when both girls get engaged in the same week....(I bet you can already predict what will happen!)

They are obsessed with a notourious (and expensive) Wedding planner whom they visit and she secures them both dates for a June wedding at the Plaza. The girls start planning, looking for invites, dresses...the works... until they are told that inadvertantly their weddings have been booked on the same day at the same time.

Neither girl is willing to cancel her day and expects each other to give in. They end up falling out and trying to sbotage each other's day.

Liv used to be fat so Emma sends her lots of chocolate so she cannot fit into her very expensive Vera Wang dress. Emma inadvertantly gets an orange skin tan....the tricks keep flowing (but to tell them all would ruin the story!)

It is very funny and totally predictable but in a good way and I have watched it several times and will definately watch it again. The various ways they try and sabotage each others wedding is amusing and the story (obviously) ends up happily ever after.

Summary: Wedding tastic!!
