A review of just the film. A DVD is available from amazon for about £3, but it has no extras. This is a Hammer horror from 1960, when they were still bold innovators in the horror field, reinvigorating a tired genre by introducing blood, cleavage and lurid Technicolor. But even this early on, their films are becoming rather formulaic, and other, more versatile horror producers soon started to push them out of the limelight.
