I think I nearly killed myself laughing at this film. It's a little chunk of comedy genius, portrayed by none other than a chunkier Renee Zellweger. Add in Hugh Grant and his movie buddy Colin Firth, and you have a recipe for a disastrously hilarious film. The story of a middle aged, lonely woman, longing for a little love in her life, she struggles to find the right man and eventually finds Daniel Cleaver - a gorgeous, successful man. They get together, and Bridget discovers he's cheating on her. She spends more time dwelling in her loneliness after the break up, then up pops Mr Darcy - a grumpy lawyer in a tasteless christmas jumper. The two men have a public punch-up to gain Bridget's love. Most funny scene in the movie!! A must-watch, or else you are really missing out on a massive laugh - then prepare for the sequel! Great feel-good comedy! Really, you gotta love Renee Zellweger and her fake but surprisingly good British accent. And Hugh Grant's cute, too.
