I really enjoyed this film when I saw it. The actors and acting were superb, the soundtrack was great and the plot had an interesting twist. How many times have you felt that you are going to die a lonely old spinster (or batchelor)? How many times have you written endless lists of new year's resolutions, only to find that you've broken them all come January the second? How many times have you vowed not to touch alcohol again, before downing 3 bottles of wine? If you answered 'hundreds' to any of the above questions then you will really be able to relate to Bridget. A spinster in her mid thirties, Bridget is the person who we all have to feel sorry for. Even a steamy relationship with her boss turns out to be a wind-up after he runs off with the opposite of Bridget. Still she carries on and, with the help of her friends, finds comfort in an old family friend. My favourite quote in the film is the part where Bridget answers the phone and says,"Bridget Jones, wonton sex goddess with a very naughty man between her thighs". I recommend that anybody who is old enough goes to see the film, as it is a spectacular film, which can make you laugh, cry, love and hate, all in about two hours.
