A different persepctive of Bronson (Bronson (DVD))
Member Name: clumsy221
Advantages: Tom Hardy is excellent Disadvantages: Unusual protrayal need to watch a few times Starring the brilliant actor Tom Hardy portraying the life of Michael Peterson aka 'Bronson'. Quite a strange take on his life due to the way the film is presented. My first impression was 'why am i watching this?' mainly due to the constant flashbacks and visions of 'Bronson' dressed in silly costumes whilst telling parts of his story to a phantom theater. However part of me wanted to continue to watch the film as i was intrigued. Tom Hardys acting was fantastic and he really seemed to take on the serious role of Bronson with all of his heart, i think this shows how talented this actor is. The story explains the life of Bronson from his childhood onwards and tries its best to explain the complicated mind of this violent yet intellectual man. I honestly think you need to watch this film a few times to truly understand and appreciate the acting and story. For those that do not know much about Bronson it will intrigue you and know doubt you will seek further information on the man himself. The only downside was that i thought they portrayed Bronson as a misunderstood man whose needed sympathy for his actions. Strange way to portray a violent mans past but another point of view of his actions. Summary: Strange but interesting |
