Oh I couldn't help review one of my favourite sci-fi characters the legendary Buck Rogers. Gil Gerard played Buck and was made for the part and who can forget Erin Gray as Wilma. Today still as young as ever. But what made this cool was Bucks side kick Twiki In this film version Buck gets frozen in a time warp and gets sent to the future to the 25th century. Earth has undergone great transformation and views Buck with suspicion thinking he might be a pirate, a Draconian spy. Wilma shows him round the new earth. Buck learns that since his day nuclear war has ravaged the earth and mankind barely survived. There are mutants roaming barren lands. Buck ... Read the complete review

When NBC were looking around for another series to cash in on the Science Fiction boom of the late seventies, they hit upon the bright idea of resurrecting one of the oldest space heroes, Anthony "Buck" Rogers - who was created for a 1928 novella called "Armageddon 2419 A.D." by Anthony Phillips Nowlan. This film was originally made as a pilot for the television series, but it became a bit of a hit in it’s own right. Of course the star of the film is supposed to be Captain William ‘Buck’ Rogers (played by Gil Gerard), but as anyone who has watched the film will tell you, the real star is the drone Twiki. Twiki looks like a robot and is about 4 foot high and only has a few lines throughout the film, the title of this opinion is one of his best lines, when he has been hiding in a fridge. However, Twiki does repeat over and over again – ‘billie, billie, billie’ and you find yourself really drawn to this crazy little character. ... Read the complete review

Looking for a movie to keep the kids happy for an hour and a half and you don't need to be worrying about the content? Then this is the movie for you! It is a watered down version of Starwars and aimed at the younger viewer where one Star Fighter takes on the entire might of the Evil forces and wins. Excellent viewing on bank holidays or when boredom sets in. Good clean fun and the robot is added interest. ... Read the complete review

Buck rogers is my hero, and has been since the first time i saw an episode when i was a little kid. The story goes.... Buck is an astronaut and while on a mission that goes bad, is frozen in his ship in the 20th century. He's thawed out in the year 2419. Being the suave space men he is, he gets a job by the new powers that be to help save the world from alien threats. When not saving the world buck is normaly found at one the universes many funky space disco dripping in sexy space ladies and drinking exotic looking cocktails. This is such a jem of 70/80s post star wars sci-fi, amazing outfits and cheese filled lady killer lines from ... Read the complete review
