Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 1 (DVD)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is hands down one of my favourite TV shows of all time. Season One is a perfect introduction to the series as it introduces the main characters and themes of the show. First up is the struggling high school girl Buffy (played by the excellent Sarah Michelle Gellar), who has been sent to Sunnydale after being expelled from her previous school regading an "incident" where the gym got burnt down. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a spin off from the movie itself. The movie in my opinion was pretty poor but the series itself was brilliant and well written. I watched all seven series' of the show and have the full set on DVD which is a brilliant box set packed with hours worth of episodes. I'm a fairly recent convert to the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I never watched it when it originally aired, and despite much insistence from two friends in the past year, I always refused on the grounds that I thought it wouldn't appeal. However, I recently found myself with a £12 voucher for an online store, and so decided to give this TV show a chance. I bought season one, not expecting to like it. Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been a firm favourite with me since it first hit our TV screens back in 1997 when it was only known from the movie of the same name. So they decided to make a TV series and what a TV series it was.
