Well...I rented this one from the library not too long ago. It was the stupidest film I had ever sat down to watch (right behind Steven Spielberg's 1942). It succeeds in doing nothing but making you roll your eyes or laugh at how stupid it is. Harold Ramis' directing is lacking in convention or pace, the script is so cluttery you aren't sure what planet you are on, and you leave the movie with a throbbing headache and dazzed eyes. The gofer and Rodney Dangerfield are the only things the film had going for it. I'm willing to bet it only made money by a few rich golf guys that helped promote it. And guess what? I'm not a rich golfer who likes dumb thoughtless movies. I'm a film critic right now and I'm doing anything but promoting this 80's flop. HAPPY GILMORE (which is stupid but hilarious) is a much better golf movie than this lame, thoughtless, piece of crap (sorry, there just aren't any other words for it)...Watch any movie but this one it's not even worth the effort of writing a plot summary and ending analysis. Avoid this at all costs in the video store and if you ever see Rodney Dangerfield in person tell him HorrorHef1 thanx him for sitting out on the sequel. Letter Grade: F
