I can't understand why this film was made, except for the money. I'm sure someone in Hollywood thought it was a good idea. So they assembled the Gofer from Caddyshack and Chevy Chase. That's it from the original cast. They then replaced Bill Murray, with Dan Aykroyd. Now Dan is usually brilliant, but when he can't lift this film from mediocrity then you know something is sadly amiss. Its watchable, but don't expect to split your sides laughing. The Gofer just about keeps your interest from waning, too much. More attention should have been paid to the script; the basic premise, that a golf course is turned into a theme park ... This sequel to the funny and ever popular "Caddyshack" is by no means an example of filmmaking quality. Jackie Mason shows he is a mediocre actor and should stay on stage with his one-liners. This film is supposed to be a comedy (ha ha), but it isn't; it's a very dull, sophomoric tale of a construction firm owner taking over Bushwood Country Club and turning it into a miniature theme park.
