... Duff was a good choice. She's attractive but without appearing overly glamorous, she would have been around 20 years old when Cadet Kelly was made but looks much younger and I think is well suited to appearing in this type of film. She has a wholesome look about her and seems a pleasant person, which is a definite bonus for me as I find most of these teen actors to be irritating beyond words and they grate on me after a while. My twelve year old granddaughter ended up staying with me a couple of weeks ago, it was completely unplanned after her school was closed for repairs so we decided to snuggle down with some popcorn and watch a film I'd taped on Sky Plus for her the week before. I wasn't looking forward to it at all as although I do enjoy a good kids' film, there was something irritating about even the name Cadet Kelly that led me to believe it would be a fluffy load of rubbish.
