Advantages: Good acting, story line

Disadvantages: Another similar subject Brit flick

Out of all the hooligans surrounding the ICF - West Ham's notorious firm, I would say that Cass is probably the most sentimental and at times also violent one. Based on a true story, of gang leader Cass - said to be the only black boy in his area at the time who faced constant harassments during his youth due to his colour and having the name Carol, a big lad - he soon chose to use the name Cass, after Cassius Clay and found that the usual boundaries were broken as a West Ham fans.

There's one notorious scene where the leader of the gang, headbuts another hooligan claiming that Cass is not a "nig-nog" but "West Ham", he rises through the ranks but at some point Cass seeks to get out of the hooligan racket and ends up running the doors but unfortunately his former life still haunts him.

I actually thought this was a good film, the story line was strong, the acting was pretty solid and the times it was to represent seemed pretty authentic (although having been born in 1986, I can't really tell for sure)

This is definitely more of a drama than a crime-orientated film and is nowhere near as bad as the likes of Green Street, likewise it's not the usual Danny Dyer et al cast that you can expect in such a film. Definitely recommended, quite a refreshing change and don't just judget his one because you think you've seen enough of the ICF.
