Advantages: Well acted, good chemistry, some good laughs and romantic too
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
Girl's fiance dies, she moves in with his best buddies and finds love. Sounds corny, well it is ... in theory.
Jennifer Garner plays the lead, and what makes it different in many ways is her charming, girl-next-door quality. She's very much one of the boys. Also, Timothy Olyphant isn't your typical heart-throb, but he's perfect as the keeper of Garner's fiance's secrets and the unlikely love interest.
Personally I think that Garner and Olyphant have a great chemistry, and as an ensemble piece - with Kevin Smith and even Juliette Lewis (whom I generally don't like) - it's played with such charm and has a charisma that makes you want to like it so much, that it's well worth a view for a different taken on the romantic-comedy front.
As an extra, the relationship between Kevin Smith and Juliette Lewis is often hysterical and also quite sweet, working strangely and oddly well within this film.
If you like a romantic comedy that's a somewhat above average, this is for you.
Summary: You never know what he's really like until he's dead!
