Cemetery Man (DVD)

I went through a recent phase of watching Asian revenge / horror films, and was recommended to give this one a try. At first glance I didn't see how it made sense - this is a film starring Rupert Everett. However, it soon becomes clear what it's all about (or not as the case may be). Cemetery Man is about a man who works in an, err, cemetery. His job includes killing the dead for a second time when they awaken as zombies. Cemetery Man (aka Dellamorte Dellamore) is a wonderfully surreal, horror, comedy, love story from Italian director Michele Soavi. This is not a zombie film although the undead feature quite heavily, it is more of a philosophical discourse on the nature of life and the duality of death and love "dellamore" meaning "of love" and "dellamorte" meaning "of death".
