Advantages: Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu
Disadvantages: Drew Barrymoore
<REVISITED> Having seen all the hype for this movie I decided to wait until it arrived on DVD, I got a copy from a secondhand shop for £10 and I think I need a refund. The characters in the movie did not seem to know what they were doing, the story was lame. The bright points are Cameron Diaz and Lucy Lui and surprisingly Bill Murray as the bungling Bosley and the action owes a lot to the style of John Woo. OK the Story: Once upon atime, there were three little girls...... The story is fairly basic with the standard twist in the good guy/bad guy department. The Girls are assigned to investigate the reported theft of industrial secrets. After 'breaking' into the systems of the 'bad' corporation and leaving a bugging device the girls try to find evidence of the crimes. What happens along the way is Cameron Diaz finds a boyfriend, Lucy liu shows us some excellent martial arts moves and Drew shows as much cleavage as possible - this seems to be the sum total of her acting ability. In general this is a no-brainer film, if you want something deep and meaningful, look elsewhere. After watching Charlies Angels, my wife's first words were 'what a terrible movie' and I agree. If you want Charlies Angels - try the original 70's series.

- 12/08/01 Hi, welcome. I actualy really liked this film but that's not the reason for the SU. Most people spend a lot of time writing their opinions so they like people to spend a bit longer on theirs. Have fun see ya. |

- 12/08/01 Quite a short op. If you write about the story and say why Drew Barrymore was a disadvantage, tell me and I'll re-read it. =O) |
