I love animals; I carried out my year 10 work experience in a veterinary surgery, but decided it wasn't for me when the staff tried to comfort me after a puppy died...I cried for over an hour. This film is based on the classic children’s book by E.B.White. I cannot say how closely this adaptation is to the original book, as, though it is stated as a classic, it seems to have completely passed me by during my life so far. I had absolutely no recollection of the story at all so I approached this film with completely fresh eyes and no preconceived ideas as to the story. The introduction to the story shows how a pig is saved from early slaughter just after it was born. Charlotte’s Web Charlotte’s Web was firstly a book written by E. B. White and this is one book I can remember reading and re-reading over and over again when I was younger. I enjoyed it so much as the characters were brought to life by the author and I was ecstatic when the cartoon film came out for me to enjoy as well. Now many years later they have made it in to a motion picture and it has been recently released out on to DVD this week. Seeing as the weather has been so bad I sent out my boyfriend to pick this DVD up while he spent the day at a friends so I could watch it uninterrupted on my own. Watching ...
