Chicken Run is not only for kids, it appeals to a very wide age range audience. You probably know the story by now, based on The Great Escape, the chickens try to escape from the farm.

A "flying" rooster lands on the farm. After failing to escape on many occasions, Ginger aks for ocky's help to teach the chickens how to fly to freedom...I won't spoil the story for anyone who hasn't seen the film.

The film is fantatic, it is brilliantly directed and it is hard to believe some of the shots could have been created with plasticine.

As for the DVD, the transfer is the best I have seen on DVD, the picture and soud quality is crystal clear. The disc contains a lot of extras including director's commentary from Nick Park (Creator of Wallace and Gromitt), it has a lot of Aardman creature comfort clips and other little things that Aardman have created, such as the Sledgehammer music video. It has DVD ROM features but not having a DVD ROM I can't comment and what these are like unfortunately :(

A must have to add to your DVD collection, one of the best DVD releases of 2000.
