If Chorlton had been created today the spin off in merchandise would have earned quite a bit with characters such as, Chorton himself, his friends... Zoomer, King Otto and Queen Doris, and Jenny. Equally lucrative would have been the evil ones, Fenella and her cohorts, Claptrap, O'reilly, the toadies and the spikers. Not to mention a huge pal tea pot, Spout hall. CHORLTON AND THE WHEELIES SERIES 2 ============================ Recently watched this with my kids and it brought back quite a few memories. Chorlton is a happiness dragon and one day he wakes up or rather is hatched in Wheelie world. From that point on he brings light to darkness and happiness to all who meet him. But Chorlton always prevails over all of her evil plans. You follow his adventure through 14 episodes on this ...  Read the complete review

Chorlton and the Wheelies. ===================== The adventures of Chorlton and his friends from Wheelie World. There are 14 episodes on this single DVD but you will love it. It was broadcast between 1976 - 1979, and If you watched TV in the 70s then this was one of those weird yet charming animated series. The theme tune should jog all memories of people who remember Chorlton. "Jump in we'll take you for a spin and show you round the Wheelie World". Nostalgia here we come......... The Goodies: Chorlton, - the happiness dragon, Zoomer, - a wheelie King Otto and Queen Doris, - the ...  Read the complete review

The second series was really much like the first, the lead character was a Happiness Dragon named Chorlton, who lived in Wheelie World, surrounded by it's inhabitants, The Wheelies (basically faces on wheels, from memory!). The baddie was Fenella the witch, who lived in a kettle, and spied on the wheelies through a long telescope. Fenella had a load of toadstools (called Toadies, if I recall) who would spy for her, odd creatures they were too. Odder than them were the Spikers, though I don't remember them doing a ...  Read the complete review
