Christmas Cupid is an American Christmas movie. It was released in 2011 and so is quite recent. The DVD is currently available to buy for £6.80 which I think is ok value for money. However, having said that, it is not the kind of movie you can watch throughout the year as it just doesn't have that special feeling if you watch it in the summer.
Plot: Sloane is a young woman who is quickly climbing the career ladder. However, when one of her major clients Caitlin dies, Sloane is left upset. However, Caitlin then becomes Sloane's personal adviser in the form of a ghost. She helps Catlin with her love decisions as well as a few other things. What will happen? Watch Christmas Cupid to find out!
The plot is quite simple and straight-forward and you don't have to concentrate too hard to know what's going on, which means that it is perfect for watching whilst relaxing. It is the kind of movie which you can 'tune into' half way through and still understand what is going on.
Christina Milan stars in this Christmas movie - she seems to be in quite a few Christmas movies come to think of it. I don't know why, but I found she annoyed me a little bit in this movie as she came across as being really cheesy. Her acting wasn't that great - she seemed to over-act a bit too much. She also reminded me of the character that she played in another of Christmas movies - Snowglobe - she was like the exact same character. The rest of the acting is good though, it's just Christina that annoys me!Sorry Christina!
This movie is good, but it is not a Christmas classic like 'Miracle on 32nd Street' - you know like the kind of movies you can watch over and over again. However it is nice to see a Christmas movie that isn't so serious and is fun to watch.
I like how the movie is like a modern-day version of Scrooge. It's nice that it has kept some of the 'old Christmas' tradition, but at the same time nice that they have made it in a nice and fun movie.
The movie is quite funny although it is cheesy in some parts. Some of the funny parts include the things Caitlin gets Sloane to say to her ex-boyfriends!
The movie is suitable for the whole family from young children to granny. The movie is a PG and there is no swearing or nudity which is good. Also at 85 minutes long, the movie is suitable for young children as it isn't too long.
Thanks for reading!
