This film by Disney is certainly one for the little girl or romantic at heart. Beautifully animated and a film score that after the first couple of times you know off by heart - so much so you can't resist singing along with it!

I first saw this movie when I was a little girl and my mum took me on a Saturday afternoon to the local cinema. It totally filled my head with dreams and songs that stayed with me for a while.

We all know the idea that a young woman is adopted by her stepfather after he dies and taken in by her stepmother and 2 ugly sisters. She works her fingers to the bone and generally gets used as a skivvy. Soon her fairy godmother appears and sends her to the ball to meet her Prince Charming! But there is one condition and that is that she must leave before 12 midnight or she reverts back into her skivvy self.

It all ends happy ever after and is a wonderful film for family viewing. With songs such as Bibbidy Bobbidy boo, and characters as lovely as the mice jac and Gus this is a fantasy world we all dream of!
