Cirque du Soleil: Varekai (DVD)

The fantastic Cirque du Soleil produce some wonderful DVD's and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The costumes and acts are wonderful and if you can't get to see them in the flesh this is the next best thing. I was lucky enough to see the live show last year and the DVD paled in comparison to it, I realised just how much you miss as the camera can only focus on one part of the stage and often does so from an angle that you would not see from the front of the stage. If you get the chance to see one of the shows live I would really recommend that you buy the DVD's first as you will find the live performance so much more fufilling if you know where to look to concentrate ...  Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of the Cirque Du Soleil shows and have been lucky enough to win tickets to two of the shows. The last time I won tickets I couldn't actually go on the night they offered me the VIP package so they advised they could offer me two seats in the best section instead and they would send me a few bits of merchandise to make up for not being able to enjoy the VIP package.
